Aurangabad, March 3:

The central and state governments have emphasized increasing the export of industries. Entrepreneurs in the industrial areas of the district have started efforts to overcome the corona crisis and the target is to increase exports to 13,000 crores this year as against Rs 10,000 crore per annum this year, according to the industrial associations. Due to the corona pandemic, many countries have decided to close the trade with China and have rushed to India, which is currently benefiting the industries in the district.

The industrialists stated that since June last year, the industrial sector was struggling for three to four months with getting orders and completing targets. Massia president Abhay Hanchanal said The unlock was very stressful for entrepreneurs in the district. Even with orders, there were difficulties in paying wages of workers in the post-corona period. Many small entrepreneurs continued working in one shift. Industries have revived after Dussehra and Diwali. At present, the industrial sector in the district has come to the fore. "As in the past, we have started getting orders from big companies in the country and abroad," Hanchanal said. The committee set up to focus on export growth has completed two meetings so far. In the second meeting, the entrepreneurs presented a rough plan for export growth. According to this, foreign exports of Rs 10,000 crore are made from the district every year. He also said that this year it will increase by Rs 3,000 crore.

Automobile and plastic business to gain

The exports are expected to grow mainly in the automobile and plastics industries. Currently, most small, medium entrepreneurs are exporting their products abroad. There are some companies that export to as many as 40 countries. Therefore, it is hoped that exports will increase this year, said CMIA president Kamleish Dhoot.
