Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The state government on Wednesday appointed Faiyaz Ahmed Abdul Hamid as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Maharashtra State Board of Waqfs. The post had been vacant for the past several years. With this appointment, the board has now got a full-time CEO.

Faiyaz Ahmed was serving as general manager at Cidco. It is expected that several long-pending issues of the Wakf Board will now be resolved following his appointment.
