A family was brutally assaulted after questioning repeated harassment of their minor daughter in Jogeshwari on Wednesday at around 5.30 pm. A case has been registered against three individuals in connection with the incident.

The victim, a minor girl, lives in a rented house in Jogeshwari with her parents, brother, and sister. Her parents work private jobs. On March 4, while returning from school, she was allegedly followed and subjected to obscene gestures by accused Nilesh Dubile, Rishikesh Dubile and Pratik Rajput. When she informed her family, her mother confronted the accused, but they fled. On March 5, while the girl was sweeping outside her house, the three accused again made inappropriate sounds and gestures towards her. When her family questioned them, they verbally abused and physically assaulted the girl’s mother with wooden sticks and kicked her in the chest. They also attacked her father. When Pravin Kajale, Krishna Kajale, and Satish Kajale tried to intervene, they too were assaulted. The police suspect that more individuals were involved as a crowd had gathered during the incident. Following a complaint by the 39-year-old mother, a case has been registered at the MIDC Waluj Police Station against Nilesh Dubile, Rishikesh Dubile, and Pratik Rajput.
