The two-day sub-divisional Krishi Mahotsav held at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra ground on Paithan Road on March 6–7 received a poor response from farmers and citizens. Visitors said the agriculture department organised the event without adequate publicity, resulting in low turnout and affecting stall owners. Farmers from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Paithan and Phulambri tehsils were expected to participate. Only a few stalls by self-help groups and entrepreneurs under the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme were seen. District agriculture superintendent Prakash Deshmukh said the event was sub-divisional level and more visitors arrived in the evening due to rising daytime temperatures.
