District and Sessions Judge R.D. Khedekar has sentenced Dnyaneshwar Chaudhary (50) and his son Hemant Dnyaneshwar Chaudhary (21), residents of Soygaon, to life imprisonment and fined them Rs 25,000 each for murdering Sunil Chaudhary of Chaudhary Gavani, Soygaon taluka.

According to complainant Manisha Sunil Chaudhary (34), the incident occurred on July 17, 2021, when she and her husband were returning home on a motorcycle after farm work, followed by their son Kartik on a bicycle. After he collapsed, Hemant allegedly assaulted him on the neck and face. Manisha was also injured while intervening. Sunil later died during treatment at Civil Hospital, Jalgaon. During trial, Assistant Public Prosecutor Balasaheb Maher examined 11 witnesses.
