Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: MLC Satish Chavan raised a special mention in the State Legislative Council on Tuesday, demanding that the State Government take immediate action to fill vacant posts in agricultural universities.

He stated that four agricultural universities are currently operational in the State, but the revised staffing pattern of 11,400 posts is pending approval.

Due to the staffing pattern not being approved, the recruitment process for both technical and non-technical posts has stalled.

MLC Satish Chavan brought to the attention of the House through a special mention during the December 2025 session. He had raised a calling attention motion on this matter, upon which the Agriculture Minister had assured that action would be taken within three months. However, no action whatsoever has been taken in this regard to date.
