Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A fire broke out early Friday morning at Rajesh Gruh Udyog, a home industry shop located at Jay Bhavani Chowk in the Waluj MIDC area. The blaze, reported around 6 am, gutted plastic materials, brooms, floor wipers, acid brushes, mop cups and other goods stored in the shop.

Shop owner Radheshyam Devkate stated that property worth several lakhs of rupees was destroyed in the incident. Thick plumes of smoke spread across the area for some time, creating panic among nearby residents.

Upon receiving information, a team from the Waluj Fire Station rushed to the spot under the guidance of deputy fire officer Anil S. Deshmukh. The fire brigade brought the blaze under control promptly using hose lines, and it was completely extinguished by around 6:45 am.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported. However, substantial damage to stock has been recorded. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Fire Leader L.G. Brahmankar, Driver Operator Sunil V. Patil, and firefighters R.K. Jat, P.K. Hajare, S.B. Mahale and P.D. Ghughe actively participated in the operation.
