A fire broke out in the kitchen of Gopal Shire’s house in the N-9 area on Monday afternoon, sparking panic.

Firefighters responded swiftly, removing a gas cylinder just in time and preventing a major catastrophe. Smoke first emerged from the exhaust fan near Swami Vivekananda Garden, spreading rapidly. Sensing the danger, Shire immediately alerted the fire department. Within minutes, fire officers Ashok Khandekar and Gorakhnath Jadhav, along with firemen Sameer Sheikh, Ramdas Dudhe, Rajendra Bawaskar, Syed Azhar, and Sheikh Sameer, arrived at the scene. Acting quickly, they controlled the flames and safely removed the gas cylinder, ensuring no casualties. Their prompt action averted what could have been a deadly accident.
