Aurangabad, March 20:
A mild fire incident took place on the sloppy mountain of the Aurangabad Caves today evening. Acting upon the information, the Fire Brigade team with one tender left for the caves at 6.15 pm. The firefighters Appasaheb Gaikwad, Tushar Taur, Subhash Dudhe and others doused the fire after a brief struggle.
It may be noted that the incidents of fire on mountains on the outskirts of the city have been increased for the past many days. It is believed that some mischievous person or shepherd would have thrown the remains of cigarette or bidi, which had led to catch fire on the dry mountain today.
Meanwhile, the experts underlined the need for patrolling in the vicinity and strict action against persons or youths straying in the periphery without any purpose.
