Fires break out in lawns, hotels and Gangapur’s education department

A day after a massive fire at Azad Chowk, the city witnessed three more fire incidents on Friday, including at a lawns, a hotel on Beed Bypass and the education department of Gangapur’s Panchayat Samiti. The fire at the Education Department destroyed all official documents.

According to the fire department, the first incident occurred around 12.30 pm at Guru Lawns on Beed Bypass when an AC compressor unit suddenly caught fire. Fire officers Vijay Rathod and Ashok Khandekar, along with their team, rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames after nearly an hour. Four air conditioners and their compressor units were completely gutted. In another incident, a gas leak at VIP Maratha Hotel near Godavari Tea Point led to a fire. Fire officer Haribhau Ghuge immediately responded to the emergency. The fire caused significant damage to the hotel's kitchen, destroying food supplies and other essentials.
