Aurangabad, Dec 23:

The civic health officials have clarified that five citizens, out of seven, who had returned to the city from Britain, are reported as negative today. The officials are expecting to receive the reports of the other two by late in the evening.

The municipal officer of health (MoH) Dr Neeta Padalkar said, " We had obtained a list of passengers, who had arrived in the city, from various international destinations, since December 8. Accordingly, we learnt that nine persons had landed at the local airport since then. Out of which, seven of them were staying in the city. We traced their locations and collected their swabs and conducted the necessary tests. We received five reports with negative remarks today morning. The AMC will receive reports of the remaining two persons soon. All are asymptomatic. However, the administration had recommended them home quarantine for two weeks. "

" We had intimated the District Health Officer that out of the total nine persons, one had left for Buldhana from the airport and another one stays in Waluj. Hence the district health administration will now find them and conduct tests upon them," said Dr Padalkar adding that these citizens arrived in the state before the discontinuation of flights to Britain (UK).
