Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
An IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai circled the city for nearly 45 minutes on Wednesday night due to strong winds and heavy rain but could not land and returned. With no immediate replacement aircraft available, it finally arrived at 3.30 am on Thursday nearly seven hours late.
Passengers bound for Navi Mumbai from the city waited overnight at the airport; some cancelled their travel. Several incoming passengers opted for the regular morning Mumbai–Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar flight instead.

“The flight returned and no aircraft was available. Though rescheduled for 3.30 am, I chose the morning flight. The Navi Mumbai service is becoming a burden,” said passenger Anil Irawane.
