This summer, the month of March is witnessing intense heat. The sun has been blazing, and temperatures typical of the end of April are being recorded as early as March. The meteorological department has predicted unseasonal rain between March 17 and 20 next week.

On Thursday, the sun scorched the city with the maximum temperature rising to 39.2°C. On Friday, the maximum temperature was 38.8°C while the minimum temperature was 20.8°C. Roads appear deserted between 12 noon and 5 pm, indicating the impact of the rising temperatures on daily life.

Highest temperatures recorded in March:

March 7: 38.2°C

March 8: 38.0°C

March 12: 39.8°C

March 13: 38.8°C
