Aurangabad, Dec 3:

Two days ago, a farmer saw a leopard in Hatnur area, which has created an atmosphere of fear among the villagers. The forest department officials visited the area and conducted a panchnama on Thursday.

The villagers had last spotted a leopard five months ago. Since then there were no signs of the wild animal. A few days ago, a farmer Namdev Kuklare went to his field and saw two leopards and a cub. The Kannad forest circle officer Praveen Koli along with a team inspected the area where the leopard was seen and traced its footprints. However, no leopard footprints were found. The farmers are worried as they have to go out at night to irrigate their crops. The officials however asked the farmers to not go to the field alone at night and children, especially those living in farms, should not be left alone.
