Aurangabad, Dec 28:

Two persons were booked with Cantonment Police Station for allegedly beating up the son of a retired police officer over a trivial issue.

According to details, Hemant Daulat More, the son of retired deputy superintendent of police runs a hotel at Shantipura.

The accused Sonu and Lalit Pathak came to his hotel at 7.30 pm on December 27 and asked him why he did not give them a room on rent. During the quarrel, the accused beat up Hemant and also snatched away Rs 2,000 from him.

The hotel owner lodged a complaint with Cantonment Police Station. PSI Sachin Wayal is on the case.
