Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Pawar family from Chapaner in Kannad tehsil has set an exemplary precedent of how political legacy and public trust can be sustained over generations. From the Hatnoor Zilla Parishad Gut, BJP candidate Meenakshi Kishor Pawar has emerged victorious. With this win, a rare distinction has been achieved, as four members of the same household—the husband, wife, father-in-law and mother-in-law—have all served as ZP members.

Meenakshi Pawar’s father-in-law, the late Narayanrao Bajirao Pawar, had earlier represented and led the Hatnoor constituency. Subsequently, her mother-in-law Pushpatai Pawar and Meenaikshi’s husband Kishor Narayanrao Pawar also shouldered the responsibility of representing the same seat. Notably, the Pawar family has achieved a ‘hat-trick’ of victories from the Hatnoor Gut, with voters entrusting the leadership to the family for a fourth consecutive term.

The fact that four individuals from the same family have represented a single ZP constituency is being regarded as a historic and commendable moment in the district’s political landscape. This victory has further reinforced the Pawar family’s strong rapport and connection with the electorate.
