Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

While residents continue to reel under intense daytime heat, frequent night-time power cuts by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) have worsened discomfort over the past few days. Electricity supply was disrupted across several parts of the city at around 8 pm on Thursday, leaving people of all age groups struggling in the sweltering conditions.

Areas including Mondha Naka, Sindhi Colony, Balajinagar, Pannalalnagar, Ramanagar, Kalda Corner and Ajabnagar experienced outages, plunging entire neighbourhoods into darkness. With fans, coolers and air conditioners rendered useless amid the heatwave, staying indoors became extremely difficult.

Repeated power disruptions have severely affected daily life, with children, the elderly and patients bearing the brunt. Residents have expressed growing anger over what they describe as an ordeal “scorching heat by day and darkness due to power cuts at night.” Citizens have demanded that the power distribution company take immediate and effective steps to restore a smooth and reliable electricity supply.
