The birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha will be celebrated with devotion on Thursday, January 22, across the city’s 140 Ganesh temples. Ganesh yagya rituals began Monday and will continue till Thursday.

31-kund Ganesh Mahayagya, Samarthnagar: At Varad Ganesh Temple, a three-day 31-kund Mahayagya started Monday with a 7 am palkhi procession. Tuesday includes the yagya and yajman felicitation. Wednesday will see the concluding purnahuti by Maharudra Swami of Sajjangad. Thursday features a collective Sahasravartan (8–10 am), Ganesh Janma kirtan at 10 am by H.B.P. Ganeshbuwa Ramdasi, followed by Ganesh birth ceremony and maha aarti at 12 noon. Sahasra Modak Havan, Bhakti Ganesh Temple: In CIDCO N-1, Ganesh yagya and Sahasra Modak Havan start Wednesday at 10 am. Ganesh Jayanti celebrations include Atharvashirsha Sahasravartan at 9.30 am, Ganesh birth ceremony at 12 noon, and Satyanarayan puja at 3 pm. A three-day bhajan festival concluded Sunday. Veena pujan and palkhi, Pannalalnagar: Veena pujan will be held Wednesday at Ashtavinayak Temple, with 24-hour continuous recitation. Ganesh Jayanti features a seven-kund Mahayagya from 7 am, palkhi procession, afternoon kirtan, and aarti. 25-kund Ganesh Yagya, Rajabazar: At Sansthan Ganpati Temple, 25-kund Mahayagya begins at 8.30 am on Ganesh Jayanti, with 25 yajman couples and 31 priests under Pt. Vijaykumar Pallod. The yagya concludes at 2.30 pm, followed by chhappan bhog in the evening.
