A CNG shortage for autorickshaws triggered traffic disruption on Jalna Road on Friday morning, as agitated drivers briefly blocked the road. With the pump shut, drivers waited for hours, many staying overnight. The station reopened around 9 am, leading to a two to two-and-a-half kilometre-long queue of autos.

Police intervened to restore order and ensured the pump resumed operations, after which traffic gradually normalised and drivers returned to work. Drivers Sachin Sultane, Krishna Thube, Santosh Asole and Milind Bharasakhale said the shortage had pushed them towards financial distress, alleging timely action could have avoided the situation. The incident has raised concerns over the city’s fuel supply management, with drivers demanding preventive measures.
