Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Government Industrial Training Institute, Ghanasawangi has secured first rank in Maharashtra under the ‘Excellent ITI’ category for 2023–24. The award was presented in Mumbai on April 10 based on overall performance and quality benchmarks.

The honour was conferred in the presence of Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha and senior officials of the department. Former principal Devidas Rathod and officiating principal Nagasen Sarje accepted the award, which carries a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, a citation and a memento. The institute recorded 100 per cent admissions and results, zero dropouts, and over 90 per cent placements and self-employment. It has strengthened apprenticeship training, industry partnerships and digital infrastructure.
