Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The state government has granted financial approval through a government resolution on Wednesday for the deployment of 106 additional security personnel at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) through the Maharashtra State Security Corporation’s Maharashtra Security Force (MSF).

The additional staff will include six security supervisors, 10 armed security guards, 20 female security guards and 70 male security guards. An annual expenditure of approximately Rs 5.56 crore has been sanctioned for this purpose. With this increase, the total number of security personnel at GMCH will rise to 260.

Dean Dr Shivaji Sukre said the newly appointed security staff will be deployed at the surgical building, the main entrance and other locations within the hospital area where security personnel are currently not posted.
