Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A 55-year-old woman was robbed of her gold chain while taking a walk along the roadside in Usmanpura on the night of February 23.

The incident occurred around 9.40 pm near Mangal Medical on the road in front of Jambad Estate. According to the complaint filed by Sunita Thanvi (55), a resident of Jambad Estate, two persons approached from the opposite direction on a black Pulsar motorcycle. The pillion rider allegedly snatched her 18-gram gold chain worth Rs 2 lakh and fled the spot. A case has been registered at the Osmanpura police station, and further investigation is being carried out by head constable Samsay.
