Aurangabad, June 12:

Thieves stole a gold chain weighing 3 tolas and Rs 1,000 cash from the purse of a woman passenger going to her in-laws with her five years old son at Central Bus Stand on June 9 afternoon. A case has been registered at the Kranti Chowk police station.

Bhagyashree Parag Kanthale, a resident of Ahmednagar had come to her parents in the Abdimandi area, five days back. On June 9, she was retuning to her house at Ahmednbagar with her five years son. She went to the Central Bus Stand at around 12.30 pm and boarded the Jalgaon - Pune bus. When the bus started and came near Mahavir Chowk, she checked her purse to give money for the ticket to the conductor. She found that the chain of the purse was open and a gold chain weighing 3 tolas and Rs 1,000 cash were missing. She then got down from the bus and lodged a complaint. A case has been registered against some unidentified thieves at the Kranti Chowk police station.
