Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “Citizens visit the offices of the district collector, sub-divisional officer and Talathis for various work. But many complain that their work is not done on time.
Keeping this in mind, District Collector Deelip Swami had initiated the ‘Citizen Feedback System’ in June 2025 so that citizens can submit their experiences, complaints or suggestions directly to the district administration.
The related initiative will now be implemented across the State and the Government issued an ordinance for it on February 4.
This is the second initiative adopted by the Government after empowering the Mandal officer-level office.
In order to enable citizens to register delays in work and submit complaints and suggestions easily, District Collector Deelip Swami provided the facility of QR codes along with suggestion and complaint boxes in the Collector's office, tehsil and sub-divisional offices. The government has taken note of this initiative, which has been running for six months.

Initiative implementation
The complaint boxes were installed in visible places from the district collector's office to the tehsil and sub-divisional offices. Along with this, QR code facility was provided. Citizens were asked to give their complaints and suggestions in the complaint box in written form or just scan the QR code on their mobile and register the complaint and suggestion. Complaints are being resolved by regularly reviewing the complaints and suggestions received.

What did govt say in ordinance?
The government has made some new changes to implement the initiative across the State. Orders were issued on Wednesday to implement the citizen feedback system in all Government and semi-government offices. A systematic procedure will be adopted to obtain feedback from citizens in the new system based on their actual experience. If someone wants to give some feedback on the paper themselves, there is no obligation. A locked feedback box should be kept at the front of the office to give feedback.

Complaint box to be opened on 5th of every month
Citizens can give marks from 1 to 5 on these issues: office cleanliness, service delivery method, treatment of citizens, and ease of work. Citizens can record their opinions on their experiences and put their feedback in a locked box. The feedback box will have to be opened on the 5th of every month or the next day if that day is a holiday in the presence of the head of the office or the officers authorised by him.

Citizen Feedback initiative to be implemented across State
To make it easier for citizens to submit their complaints and suggestions and to take immediate action on them, complaint boxes and QR codes were installed at all places in the district six months ago. Complaints at the administrative level are being resolved promptly. I am very happy that this initiative has been taken note of at the government level.
