Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal held a crucial review meeting on Wednesday to assess the industrial growth of Auric City and its role in the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). With four major companies Taoyota-Kirloskar Motors, Lubrizol, JSW Green Mobility and Ather Energy announcing investments, the demand for industrial land has surged.

Goyal met with representatives from CMIA, MASSIA, and other business organizations to discuss land availability, infrastructure expansion, and future opportunities. Auric and MIDC officials briefed him on the current industrial landscape. During the meeting at Auric City's headquarters in Shendra, Goyal was accompanied by MP Dr Bhagwat Karad and MLA Anuradha Chavan. Industrialists Mukund Kulkarni, MASSIA President Chetan Raut, CMIA officials, Ashish Garde, former Divisional Commissioner Bhaskar Munde, and senior Auric officers, including Datta Bhadakwar and Arun Kumar Dubey, participated in the discussions. Entrepreneurs raised concerns over limited plots in the Bidkin Industrial Zone and urged faster land acquisition for the project's second and third phases. They also pushed for the long-delayed International Convention Center, for which the state has allocated land. Industrial groups demanded that both central and state governments jointly fund its construction. Auric City's rapid rise as an industrial hub has drawn significant interest, making it a focal point in Maharashtra’s economic expansion. The discussions now pave the way for policy decisions that could accelerate its development.
