Aurangabad, Oct 28:

A handicapped person was beaten to death by crushing with stones over the suspicion of spelling a black magic, at Dargah area in Karmad Shivar on Wednesday morning at around 9 am. After the few minutes of incident, the police arrested murderer Bhausaheb Sadu Shejwal (Kumbhephal) on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Dnyaneshwar Asaram Gadkar (48, Savitrinagar, Chikalthana) and was lame by one foot. He used crutches while walking. Bhausaheb Shejwal had the suspicion that Gadkar spelled a black magic on him. On Wednesday morning, they had a severe quarrel over this issue at the Dargah area. Later, Shejwal attacked Gadkar with a crutch. After the crutch was broken, he again attacked Gadkar with stone. Gadkar was severely injured. Upon receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and took injured Gadkar to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where the doctors declared him dead after the examination.

On receiving the information, PSI, Sushant Sutale and driver Ajinath Ukarde rushed to the spot. Shejwal was on the spot and tried to escape from the scene. However, Sutale chased and arrested him. Later, PI Santosh Khelmalas, PSI, Prashant Patil inspected the situation on the spot.
