The rural police crime branch arrested a hardcore criminal on record with a country-made pistol on Pachod to Shivajinagar Road. The arrested has been identified as Sachdev Murab Pawar (27, Ramgavhan, Ambad tehsil), and the police seized a pistol, cartridges, three ATM cards and mobile phone from him.
PI, Bhagwat Phunde said, the local crime branch team was patrolling on Friday night. The informer informed them that Pawar was standing on Pachod to Shivajinagar Road with a country-made pistol. The team, including PSI Bhagsingh Dulhat and others rushed and arrested him. The police seized a country-made pistol, live cartridges, mobile phone and three ATM cards. Pawar is a hardcore criminal and several serious offences have been registered against him, Phunde informed. He has been handed over to Pachod police for further investigation.
