The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) has intensified the property tax recovery drive in the city. Today, as a part of the drive, the civic officials to recover property tax dues of Rs 5.26 lakh sealed the office of the headmaster of Wonder Garten Primary School of Anand Pravin Somayya in Vishalnagar (Ward Number 78) on Monday. The school has not paid the tax despite serving notice to it.
Under the guidance of the municipal administrator G Sreekanth and the deputy commissioner Aparna Thete, the assistant commissioner Prasad Deshpande gave the order to seal the office. The senior assessor and collector of tax Dattatray Kenekar, Dheeraj Rathod, Shripad Subhedar, Sanjay Sable and Shivraj Chitrak took the action.
