Aurangabad, May 3:

The Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court will conduct the hearing in ‘Remdesivir’ injection purchasing case of Ahmednagar MP Sujay Vikhe, on May 5.

According to details, the High Court bench on April 26 directed the principal secretary of Home department to maintain Close Circuit TV cameras footage of chartered and cargo planes arrival and departure from Shirdi between April 10 and 25.

The petitioner made corrections in his plea and submitted it requesting to take action against former legislators Shirish Choudhary, Chandrakant Raghuvanshi, Sharad Pawar and Rohit Pawar, MLA Amrish Patel for distribution of the injection without permissions. The petition gave a reference of a news item published in a newspaper.

The petitioner's lawyer argued that government officers are preparing bogus documents to maintain the secrecy of injection stock.

“Government machinery and Dr Vikhe claimed that injections from one company were brought from Chandigarh to Shirdi by a private plane while they are distributing injections manufactured by three different companies,” the lawyer argued.

Ahmednagar district collector submitted his affidavit stating that he had information about bringing the said injections stock from Chandigarh to Shirdi by a special plane.

“Dr Sujay Vikhe and his hospital were given permission to purchase 1700 injections only. The entry of the said stock is with district civil surgeon,” the collected added in the affidavit.

The principal secretary of Home Department, superintendent of police (Ahmednagar), have submitted their affidavit. The hearing would be held on May 5. Advocates Pradnya Talekar, Ajinkya Kale, Umakant Awate, Rajesh Mewara have appeared for the petitioner while adv D R Kale is representing the Government.
