Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Residents who were experiencing severe cold even after January are now beginning to feel the afternoon heat by the second week of February. This indicates the possibility of an intense summer this year. Currently, mornings remain relatively cool, while afternoons are becoming increasingly warm and sweaty.

Enquiries at cooler repair shops

There has been a rise in the number of people approaching shops for cooler and air-conditioner repairs.

Temperature rise recorded:

Monday – 32.7°C

Tuesday – 31.8°C

Wednesday – 32.0°C

Thursday – 32.6°C

Friday – 32.2°C

Summer likely to be harsh

“This year’s summer is expected to be intense. While slight cold is still felt in the mornings, the heat becomes noticeable after the afternoon. The temperature will gradually increase now,” said weather expert, Shrinivas Aundhkar.
