Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

A heritage walk and musical tribute will be organised on March 15 from 7 am to 9 am to mark the 360th anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s visit to the city. The walk will be held from Makai Gate to Jaisingpura.

The event is jointly organised by the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) and INTACH. Historians note that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had visited the then Aurangabad (now Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) and stayed at the camp of Mirza Raja Jai Singh at Jaisingpura after the Treaty of Purandar.

The walk will be guided by Sanket Kulkarni and Aditya Waghmare, with a musical tribute by the Naadgandharva band. Mayor Sameer Rajurkar, deputy mayor Rajendra Janjal, municipal commissioner G Sreekanth, historian Dr Dulari Qureshi, and INTACH state coordinator Mukund Bhogle and chapter coordinator architect Maya Vaidya will be present.
