Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Hitendra Vishnupant Deolankar, a resident of Deolana Khurd in Khuldabad tehsil died on Saturday morning in Pune after a brief illness.
He is survived by his mother, son, wife, one sister, and five brothers, including Dr Shailendra.
His last rites will be performed in Pune on January 27. Hitendra was the elder brother of Dr Shailendra Deolankar, the Director of Higher Education of Maharashtra.
