Aurangabad, June 12:

Thieves broke into a house at Kamlapur in Waluj Mahanagar area and made off with Rs 30,000 cash, gold jewellery and three mobile phones in the wee hours on Sunday. After taking away the valuables, the thieves also stole a two-wheeler and a mobile phone from the neighbouring houses.

According to the details, Supaji Waman Parakale, his wife Laxmi and son Samarth lives at Chhatrapatinagar in Kamlapur area. On Friday night, the Parakale family went to sleep after dinner. Parakale woke up at around 3.30 am and found that the door was open and the articles were scattered everywhere. He woke his wife and inspected the cupboard in the house and found that Rs 30,000 cash, gold jewellery and mobile phones were missing. The thieves entered in the house through the windows, Parkale mentioned.

After conducting theft at Parkale's house, the thieves stole the motorcycle (MH 20 C V 8047) of Pandit Wamanrao Shevte and a mobile phone of Sudarshan Bangar from the neighbouring houses. PSI Prashant Gambhirrao and his team inspected the spot. A case has been registered at the Waluj MIDC police station.
