Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Thieves broke into a flat in the upscale N-3 area and made away with ₹50,000 in cash along with gold and silver jewellery within an hour. The burglary came to light on February 5.

Construction businessman Sanket Singi (34) had stepped out for work, while his mother Sapna left the house around 4.30 pm to give bhishi money to a friend nearby. On returning at around 5.30 pm, she found the main door lock broken and alerted her son. On inspection, cupboards were found ransacked and cash and jewellery stolen. Based on Singi’s complaint, a case has been registered at the Pundaliknagar police station.
