Aurangabad, June 5: People spent their time with their family members during the last year's lockdown period. People realized the importance of big houses due to this pandemic situation and are upgrading houses. There is near about 35% rise in demand for big flats. We are experiencing these positive changes due to lockdown during covid-19 pandemic. People living on rent basis shifted to 1 BHK flat and people from 1 BHK are shifting to 2 BHK flat. People living in 2BHK flats are booking for spacious bungalows and those residing in bungalows are searching for 5 BHK flats. People are looking for more facilities like abundant sunlight, big windows for ventilation, terrace, only one gate for the whole premises, CCTV cameras, security and upgraded facilities. Sources in the construction industry said that in the past, people were asking for more facilities in minimum space but now people’s mentality has totally changed and they are asking for 40% to 50% open space for good ventilation. Officers and staff from the private sector are seeking a separate room for working from home. The construction industry is aiming to provide such facilities and architects are making changes in projects underway.
