The preparations for the examination were completed under the guidance of district collector Sunil Chavan and deputy collector Rita Maitrewar. Nearly 600 personnel, including centre chiefs, supervisors, assistant supervisors, clerk and peon’ have been given examinations duty. They were supposed to be given training at district collector auditorium on March 12.

The passed out of 2018-19 session examinations were not given appointment letter yet citing the reason of Maratha reservation. Unemployed youths are upset over the Government decision.

One of the aspirants of competitive examinations Chandrakant Misal told this newspaper that the MPSC was to conduct the preliminary examination in March 2020.

“However, the examination was postponed because of the implementation of lockdown after the spread of Novel coronavirus. The examination was to be held on March 14,2021. But, the examination was postponed again at the eleventh hour.

The recruitment examinations of health department staff was conducted smoothly last week. Even the Assembly session is being held. What does the State Government want to achieve by postponing the examination? The Government can conduct the examination with proper planning,” he added.
