Aurangabad, Dec 14:

Hundreds of B A final year students were upset after they were declared failed in just two particular subject papers.

According to details, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) conducted the summer 2020 final year examinations of different undergraduate courses including B A, B Sc and B Com’ from October 1 to 20.

The university declared the result last week. Hundreds of students various colleges were upset to find themselves failed in two papers (code Urd 12-13 and Urd 13-13) of Urdu subject.

As they are declared failed in the final year, they cannot take admission to any other course, specially B Ed and postgraduate. There were maximum 50 marks for each paper and students need to obtain minimum 20 marks.

Talking to this newspaper, a group of students said that they had scored good marks in each semester while they were declared failed in just particular paper.

“We are worried about how to take admission in further courses. The university should re-examine the papers of all these students and declare its result before the last date of admission ends,” they said.

The students also submitted a memorandum to the director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation (BoEE) through their college principals. When contacted, BoEE director Dr Yogesh Patil said that students should submit the details and he would look into the matter.
