Aurangabad, June 2:
The MP, Dr. Bhagwat Karad, today lamented Shiv Sena's former MP Chandrakant Khaire saying that he does not meddle in the matters of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and other departments like him. " I am an MP and I know how to get the works done," said Karad.
He was speaking at a function organised to inaugurate the beautification works in Visava Shishu Udyan (in Cidco N-4 C sector). The MLA Atul Save, former MLC Subhash Zambad, Shiv Sena's Raju Vaidya, Anil Bhalerao, Manoj Bora, Lion Club's N R Verma, Omprakash Agrawal, residents Arjun Chavan, Waman Danekar, Bhausaheb Jagtap, and many others were also present on the occasion.
Karad said, " BJP has done many works in N-3, N-4 Sectors of the Cidco. As a result, I am aware of people's problems. All the demands made by residents through memorandums will be done." Save said, " Four decades ago, the sapling plantation was done by late Moreshwar Save in the garden. Today, these saplings had got converted into trees. I also had a lion's share in the works done in these wards" A water tank of 2,000 litres capacity was installed in the memory of late Gangaram Jagtap in the garden.
Sena leader Vaidya, in reply to Karad's statement, said, " To get the people's work done, it is necessary to have a conversation with officers. Hence there is no question of meddling."
Khaire's meeting with government officials, why?
For the past many days, a series of meetings with officials of various government departments is underway, although the post of Khaire is not constitutional. He held a meeting with Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) officials in last month. Later on, he had a meeting with officers of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and two days ago, he conducted a meeting with PWD officials. Besides, the meetings with AMC officials are held frequently, pointed out Karad.
