Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The TDS wing of the Income Tax Office here carried out operations at two locations, recovering Rs 1.73 crore in dues from a road construction company. Additionally, during the inspection, it was found that a polymer manufacturing company had pending dues of Rs 50 lakh, according to Income Tax officer Rahul More.

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Nashik teams of the Income Tax Department conducted the operation on Tuesday. The inspections were carried out at two sites one belonging to a road construction company and the other to a company engaged in palm leaf, polymer, and paper craft manufacturing. The checks were focused on delays or non-payment of TDS deposited with the Central Government. As a result, Rs 1.73 crore was recovered from the road construction company, while the polymer company was found to have Rs 50 lakh in pending dues.
