Aurangabad, Dec 23:
Indian Oil is planning to invest Rs 2600 crores in Maharashtra in the coming days of whih, Rs 855 crores will be invested this year, informed the Executive Director and State Head, Amitabh Akhauri in a press conference here on Wednesday. A fuel pipeline will be laid between Manmad and Solapur while the capacity of the fuel depots will be doubled, in this investment, he said.
Indian Oil is planning to launch various petroleum, LPG, lubricants and energy oriented products in the coming time. Still, the emphasis is given on providing clean and affordable fuel to the people for which extensive research and development work has been undertaken considering the future fuel need.
The new pipeline between Manmad and Solapur to reduce the fuel paucity. Similarly, the capacity of the Panewadi, Manmad will be doubled and in future Indian Oil is planning to establish a depot at Aurangabad also, Akhauri mentioned.
A gas refilling plant is being established at Nagpur with the investment of around Rs 400 crores and it will be started soon. Presently, Indian Oil products including Octane 100 fuel, Chotu FTL cylinder, Servo lubricant and others are in demand.
During the Corona crisis lockdown, the sale had gone down by 30 percent and still there is a deficiency of around 5 percent as compared to the pre-Covid phase in the state. The sales will be back to normalcy as pre-Covid phase by this month, he said.
