Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “Young researchers are making many efforts in India in the field of science and technology. It is essential that the industrial sector and government institutions provide support for these efforts, said Dr Mohamed Salem Badawi, a physicist from Egypt.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the two-day international workshop on 'Advanced Materials: Bridging Research and Industries' organised by the Electronics Department of

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on Sunday. Dilip Dharurkar, Head of the Physics Department Dr Pravina Pawar, Director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr B N Dole and Dean and Head of Department Dr Mahendra Shirsat were prominently present.

Dr Badawi also emphasised the need to maintain coordination between research conducted in laboratories and the applied knowledge required by the industrial sector.

Dr Mahendra Sirsat said that the workshop was being organised to suggest new research topics to students and provide them with the opportunity to hear the views of national and international experts. Dr B. N. Dole and Dr Pravina Pawar also provided guidance on the occasion. National and international experts will guide on February 2, at the valedictory ceremony.
