Innovation Hub Project is giving impetus to rural development: VC Dr Yeole

Aurangabad, July 7:

“The Science for Equity, Empowerment and Development (SEED)-Innovation Hub project approved by Department of Science and Technology is giving impetus to village development. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University is implementing the project effectively,” said Dr Pramod Yeole, BAMU vice-chancellor.

He was speaking while dedicating ‘Technology Van’ of Innovation Hub on Tuesday. The university will get Rs 2.62 crore for the project which is being implemented to empower Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe youths.

The university adopted six villages-Chikalthan, Narsinghpur, Deogaon, Lohgaon, Nagad and Andhanar in Kannad tehsil for the project. The Technology Van was developed for the project.

Registrar Dr Jaishree Suryavanshi, project chief Dr M D Shirsath, Dr Bharati Gawali and Dr Arvind Dhabe were present.

VC Dr Pramod Yeole said that the university had given preference to research and innovation along with traditional education.

The Technology Van has panels based on solar, control panels, wiring, programming, and agriculture automation board training facilities. Dr Kunal Dutta, Vishal Ushir, Ashok Sambre and Ratnadeep Hivwrale were present.
