Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The MGM College of Communication, Culture and Media of MGMG University and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Centre for Buddhist Studies jointly organised a one-day international conference on ‘Democracy and Freedom of Expression’ at Aryabhatta Auditorium of the MGM campus on Tuesday.

The objective of the conference was to bring together thinkers, journalists, scholars, researchers and students at the global level and highlight the importance of freedom of expression in the current social and political situation.

Senior journalist Niranjan Takle and journalist Prasanna Joshi were the chief guests at the inaugural ceremony of the conference. MGM University Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam, Vice Chancellor Dr Vilas Sapkal, Registrar Dr Ashish Gadekar, Deans Dr Rekha Shelke and Dr John Chelladurai and other dignitaries were present. Journalists Niranjan Takle and Prasanna Joshi guided the participants.

Joshua Kipkemoi Boit (Kenya), Imran Mansour (Yemen) and Kadijatou Jallow (Gambia) shared their experiences from their countries. Dr Rameshwar Kanse, Dr Kavita Soni and Dr Rihana Syed worked for the success of the event.
