Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Under the new water supply scheme, water from Jayakwadi was brought up to Bidkin, covering a distance of 21 km, on Saturday.

During the pumping process, a 3,700 horsepower pump tripped once, and there were two instances of power supply disruption. Despite these issues, officials from the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) and the municipal corporation said that pumping continued until 8 pm and the water was successfully brought up to the designated point.

No obstacles were encountered during the process of cleaning the pipeline. Pumping will continue on Sunday as well, with efforts to push the water forward by another 2 to 3 km.
