Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (GECA) hosted the second edition of State-level elocution competition, Kalpataru 2026, at its IT Seminar Hall on Friday.

Organised by Team Catalyst – Writer’s Team, the event saw participation from over 70 students representing more than 10 colleges across Maharashtra, creating a lively space for ideas, voices, and perspectives to come together.

The event was made possible due to the encouragement and inspiration of Principal Dr. Sanjay Dambhare and the support of faculty advisors Dr Anil Karwankar and Sheetal Gundare.

The competition was conducted in Hindi, English, and Marathi. Dr Vrunda Deshpande, Dr Kajal Mundada and Dr Gorakh Kakade were judges.

Abhay Alashi from Mumbai University secured the first position, followed by Aryan Sharma from GECA and Ashwini Vanarse from Shivchhatrapati College.

Dhiraj Admane, Dhananjay Surate, Ashutosh Potdar, Shreeya Joshi, Niharika Nandeshwar and others worked for the success of the event.
