Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
The Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board (MSKVIB) has invited nominations for the Madhumitra and Madhusakhi Awards for the year 2026. This award scheme has been in operation for the past three years and was introduced to promote beekeeping activities and encourage beekeepers.
Beekeepers who have been successfully engaged in apiculture for several years will be honoured with first, second, and third prizes under this scheme. One of the awards is reserved specifically for a woman beekeeper. The first prize carries Rs 11,000, the second Rs 7,000, and the third Rs 5,000.
The awards will be presented at a formal ceremony in Pune on May 20, 2026, marking the occasion of World Bee Day. The application link is available on the Board’s website (www.mskvib.org). Nomination forms can also be obtained from the Khadi Board’s district offices in each district. Interested candidates are requested to submit their nominations to the Board’s district office before May 4, 2026.
