Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A 28-year-old farm laborer lost his life after getting pulled into a threshing machine while processing wheat in Bhendala, Gangapur tehsil, on Monday morning. The incident, which occurred at around 11 am, left the local farming community in shock.

The victim, labourer Balu Waghchaure (28, Bhendala) was engaged in shifting sacks of processed wheat when he was suddenly caught in the machine. Within moments, the powerful mechanism crushed him, creating a horrifying scene. Fellow laborers and nearby farmers acted swiftly, shutting down the machine and rushing him to the primary health center in Bhendala. However, medical officer Dr More declared him dead upon arrival. Authorities were immediately alerted, and a team from Gangapur police station conducted an inspection at the site. His last rites were performed at 5 pm in Bhendala. Waghchaure is survived by his parents, wife, a two-and-a-half-month-old son, and a three-year-old daughter. A case of accidental death has been registered at Gangapur police station.
