Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Thieves broke into a house at Kasliwal Residency in Osmanpura while the occupants were away in Pune, stealing gold ornaments (three tolas), silver items worth Rs 30,000- Rs 40,000, and Rs 10,000 cash. The burglary came to light on March 18, and a case was registered on March 19.

Retired Kiran Balaji Kulkarni and his wife had left on March 9 and returned on March 18 to find their door latch broken and house ransacked. Stolen items include a mangalsutra, earrings, gold beads, silver anklets, bank locker keys, and a wristwatch. Police inspector Sangram Tate visited the spot and initiated a probe.

Two flats burgled in an hour during darshan visit

In Shreynagar, Osmanpura, thieves broke into two flats in the same apartment within an hour on March 19 evening, stealing Rs 80,000 cash. Suresh Khadke (71) and his brother had gone to a Ram temple for Gudi Padwa when the incident occurred. On return, they found both houses ransacked. A complaint has been filed.
