Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A lecture on ‘Indian Constitution and Gandhian Perspective’ was organised by the Department of Mathematics, Basic and Applied Sciences, MGM University on Sunday.

Head of Department Dr Shilpi Dewangan, teachers, students and others were present. Speaking at the event, Dean Dr Chelladurai gave an in-depth commentary on the fundamentals of the Indian Constitution, its democratic values, and the similarities between Gandhiji's thoughts. He mentioned the need for today's young generation to imbibe Gandhian ideology, and principles like non-violence, truth, and self-reliance.

Meritorious students of the ‘Mathematics Talent Hunt of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’ competition were also felicitated. In this competition, Mudassir Sheikh (UDICT), Pranjal Ghatge (CSMSS) and Sophie Faiz Ahmed (JNEC) won the first, second and third positions respectively. They were given cash prizes.

Through this lecture, knowledge about the Constitution, social responsibility and Gandhiji’s principles were spread among the students.
