Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Panic spread in the Ulkanagari–Srinagar area on Wednesday after a CCTV clip of a suspicious animal went viral, reviving leopard rumours after nearly two years. Reports of dogs barking at night added to the fear.

A forest department team inspected the spot, reviewed footage, and spoke to residents, confirming the animal was a cat, not a leopard. Officials urged citizens not to believe rumours and to inform authorities of any suspicious movement.
